Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 :- Arrival in Jodhpur, Half day city tour
Our English-speaking guide will be at the airport or train station to meet you and drive you to your pre-booked hotel. You can take some time to recuperate before seeing Blue City for the first time.
You will spend the evening walking around the old town, where blue walls will stand among the shops selling curiosities and knick-knacks. Our guide will give you a pleasant experience in these crowded medieval bazaars, and you will be able to shop as much as you like.
See the clock tower, the landmark of the ancient city, and the Sadar Market, where you can buy everything from local sweets to handicrafts. Our tour guide will drop you off at your hotel where you can have an authentic Rajasthani meal before calling it a night. Make sure you’re well rested because the next day is a whirlwind of a tour.
Day 2 :- Full Day Jodhpur Sightseeing Tour
After a delicious breakfast at your hotel, our tour guide will take you to Fort Mehrangarh. This huge bastion sits on a hill 125 meters high with battlements reaching up to 36 meters. Of the seven entrances to the fort, the main gate is known as Jaya Pol. The courtyards and palaces here are fine examples of Rajput architecture, and our guide will professionally tell the story hidden within the walls of Mehrangarh. The museum has a rich collection of elephant pillows, cutlery, palanquin and other royal prey.
Jaswant Tada is located 1 km from this majestic fort. The marble grilles on the windows of the royal crematorium and the milky white cenotaphs are beautifully designed in honor of the kings and queens of antiquity. Our guide will then take you to the Umaid Gardens and Museum. These two are close together. The latter contains an elegant collection of clocks, photographs of the Umaid Bhavan Palace, handmade weapons and many other royal items.
The day ends with a drive to the Mandor Gardens. Mandor was the ancient capital of Marwar (before the founding of Jodhpur) and is the perfect place to get some fresh air after all this exploration.
After dinner, our guide will take you back to your hotel, where your dreams will be filled with different shades of blue.
